What you get that a cold email does not
Self-arranged placements fail on the same handful of things every term. Each of these is one of them.
Verified before they can accept you
Licensure and malpractice cover are checked, and the clinical site is verified separately including its agreement to host students. A credential that lapses puts the preceptor back into review.
Every match shows its reasoning
Specialty fit, distance within the radius you set, availability against your dates, modality, and the settings your course requires. Excluded candidates show why they were excluded.
Your program's rules come first
Placement rules are attached to the request itself, so requirements are enforced from the first search rather than surfacing at approval after you have committed.
You see cost before you commit
Each match carries an estimated cost, and the quote issued at mutual acceptance is fixed. Payment is staged across acceptance, paperwork, and school approval.
Preceptors are not a public directory
Matches are generated against your specific request and shown only to you. That is what stops preceptors being contacted directly and their availability being scraped.
A withdrawal is our problem
If a preceptor withdraws, it is refundable under our published policy, your approved paperwork carries over where valid, and we search for a replacement.

Questions about finding a preceptor
Can I browse preceptors before creating an account?
You can see the listings on this page and open any of them — display code, city and state, specialty, availability, and experience are all public. What is not public is full availability against your dates and the ability to request a placement, because matches are generated against a specific rotation request rather than published as a directory. That keeps preceptors from being contacted directly and stops their availability being scraped.
How are matches ranked?
By fit against your request: specialty, distance from your location within the radius you set, availability against your date range, modality, and the settings or patient populations your course requires. Every match shows the reasoning, and excluded candidates show why they were excluded.
What if there are no matches for my specialty or area?
Then we tell you that, rather than showing weak matches to look busy. You can widen your radius, adjust dates, or flag which requirements are flexible. We track zero-result searches by specialty precisely so we know where to recruit.
What does verified actually mean?
Before a preceptor can accept a placement we verify their licensure and credential documentation, and we verify the clinical site organization separately, including its agreement to host students. A credential that lapses puts the preceptor back into review. It is a check on credentials and agreements — not a rating of teaching quality, and we do not present it as one.
How much does a placement cost?
Pricing is published in full on the pricing page, and each match carries an estimated cost before you commit. The quote issued at mutual acceptance is fixed and cannot change afterwards.
